At The Half Stakes - G5+ - 9f - T - 3yowin Natural Selection place Like A Lady show First Class Natural Selection rode a wave of confidence to go two for two on the season, posting a very narrow win over Like A Lady. This was very close. In the end, I thought that Natural Selection would just edge out Like A Lady through a brilliant ride and a great stroke of luck. Not an easy race. I love First Class - my favorite stuffed pony's name is Chester SQUEE - but he was edged out by the top two here today. This was very close. Can't wait to meet up with your ponies along the TTC trail

DIAMOND SPRINT* - G4+ - 7F - D - 3YO Win. Rough Diamond Place. Coincidence Show. Innerstellar Fourth. Southern Peach
Innerstellar and Coincidence were hot to trot in their first starts of the season. Both of them were relatively unfamiliar with BSD and Rough Diamond already had a little experience here and a win. She took advantage of the pace meltdown and outkicked them to the finish.
LK: Love Southern Peach, but Rough Diamond and the boys stood out to me more on this day. I think she'll do very well, but maybe another boost race to get over the grade four hump would do her well.
This could be an interesting season because I think the girls have to play catch up. Will they default to the Sprinter Tiara or try to lay it down in the Sprinter Crown? No one has ever won the Triple Sprinter Tiara or the Dirt Sprinter Crown!

CRYSTAL SPRINT* - G4+ - 7F - T - 3YO win Artemis' Glory place SmashDashing show Optical Illusion 4th Melodious
This horse race went to the stalkers. Optical and Melodious were at each others throats, leaving the end game open to those ever patient stalkers. Artemis' held onto her crown here against those vying for her position, but it was a close race all around and these are some of the best sprinters I've seen. It's going to be a highly competitive year I think. Whiskers and noses separated them all.
